Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Environment

Habitat: Above 55°F

For the most part, the Philodendron Birkin is a resilient plant. It is going to do well as long as the temperature remains stable and above 55° F. This will be enough for it to continue to grow and sustain its leaves without things breaking down.

Maximum Size: Up to 3'

The one detail you are going to want to think about will be its growth potential. If the watering is good and it is kept in bright, indirect sunlight for at least 12 hours, this will be more than enough for it to grow at least 3 feet.

Space / Planter Size: Medium

This does not need a large planter. It will have enough space to grow in a medium-sized planter as long as it is kept in indirect sunlight. This will ensure it has the chance to develop and its roots do spread freely inside the planter.

When it comes to watering the Philodendron Birkin, it is important to keep it hydrated during the week. This will be enough to ensure its soil is moist and its roots do have space to grow. Keeping it too hydrated is not good for the plant as it does not need that much water to continue to flourish.
