The Schefflera Arboricola Mini is from the same family as the dwarf umbrella bush plant but with smaller leaves. The leaves come out and droop downward causing them to have that specific aesthetic. This plant is air-purifying.

Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Habitat: High Humidity / 65 - 90°F

The right environment for this plant is average home humidity levels and temperature in the 65°F-90°F range.

Maximum Size: 7'

The pot size will determine the maximum plant size. It is common for this to grow between 2’– 5’. If grown outdoors, it can get very larger.

Space / Planter Size: Small / Medium

Select a pot size that will accommodate your available space. It should grow under 2' if kept in a small pot.

History

The plant is native to Taiwan and other surrounding regions making it popular within the area. It has continued to grow in stature over the years and is noted for being a noteworthy plant due to its stylistic growth pattern.

Plant Care

To care for the Schefflera Arboricola Mini, it's best to look at maintaining medium-light shade and average humidity, but this plant can endure 3-4 hours of direct sun. Allow soil to dry out completely and water regularly.

Water: Moderate

Moderately water this plant because if it's left too dry for too long, the leaves will become yellow and fall off.

Sun: Bright, Indirect Sunlight

It is best to grow this plant in low light as it will flourish without having too much access to sunlight. In bright, direct sunlight, the soil will dry quickly and that will make it difficult for the plant to grow to its maximum potential.

Care Level: Easy

This plant does not require a lot of upkeep to keep it healthy. It can thrive in a wide range of environments. It's most important to let the soil dry out completely before watering and water regularly.
