This gorgeous plant is renowned for being easy on the eyes, unique, and sustainable. The Schefflera Arboricola Variegated Moondrop Mini is from the same family as the Dwarf Umbrella Bush Plant but with smaller leaves. Its drooping leaves give it the "Umbrella Plant" name.

Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Environment

Habitat: Above 65°F

It is best to have this plant set up in a room that is above 65°F. In general, this is a plant that is not going to survive for long when the temperature dips. It is a warm-weather plant and it has to be kept in cozy conditions for it to grow. Otherwise, the leaves are going to fall and they will not maintain their shape for long.

Maximum Size: 4 - 6'

Depending on how well the plant is watered and maintained, it is capable of growing up to six feet. This is often a plant that is going to maximize its growth as long as it is watered properly during the growing season. This is when you have to be alert and continue to keep the soil moist.

Space / Planter Size: Large

This is going to be based on the size of the planter and how it turns out when it is time to look at what works for the plant. The Schefflera Arboricola Variegated Moondrop Mini will grow over four feet, which means it is going to need a larger plant for its roots to survive and thrive.

This is a plant that is native to Taiwan and it is appreciated for its beautiful aesthetic. It gives off the umbrella visual that is easy on the eyes and good for those who want a unique plant for a home. It is a plant that is taken off for being easy to maintain.

Plant Care

It is best to be patient with this plant and make sure it is watered properly. As long as it receives ample water, this is a plant that can be cared for relatively easily.

Water: Moderate

During the growing season, it is best to water more regularly. Otherwise, the plant will do well as long as the soil is moist. This is going to give it ample hydration to continue to grow as it needs to and hit its maximum height.

Sun: Bright, Indirect

One detail to think about with the sunlight is where the plant is being positioned. It does not require direct sunlight to thrive. Instead, the goal should be to make sure the space is bright and there is indirect sunlight in the space. As long as there is indirect sunlight and the temperature is above 65°F, this will be more than enough for it to do well.
