Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Environment

Habitat: 60 - 80°F

This is a plant that is going to do well indoors but it is recommended to ensure the temperature is stable. This means it should stay within the 60-80° F range. It is fine for the temperature to drop to around 60° F during the night and then hit a high of 80° F during the day. A stable indoor temperature is a good way to ensure the Hindu Rope Plant continues to grow as it needs to and doesn't lose its shape.

Maximum Size: Head size 1'

This plant is a vine and will continue to grow if given the chance. It does have a gorgeous aesthetic that is easy on the eyes but will grow much more than its head size which is 1'. It does not require a lot of space indoors to grow and will continue to be pleasing to the eyes as soon as it is in place and beyond.

Space / Planter Size: Small

It is not going to require a large planter to reach its full potential. Make sure there is a small pot that is going to let the roots settle as that is going to be enough to get it to grow the right way. As long as this happens and it is getting enough water, the plant is going to continue to do well as time goes on.

History

The Hoyas genus was discovered in the early 1800s in Western Australia. It's been a very popular house plant for decades. In the 1970s this plant was usually refered to as a Wax plant.

Plant Care

This is a plant that has to be cared for with an eye toward keeping it in a stable environment. If the temperature is stable, this is a plant that will not require a lot to do well.

Water: Moderate

It is not going to require constant watering. Just keep the soil moist from time to time during the warmer months and it will do well. In the winter, you will have to do even less to keep it in good shape.

Sun: Bright, Indirect

A person can put this plant indoors and out of the sunlight while keeping it healthy. However, it is commonly recommended to ensure there is bright, indirect sunlight in the same room. This will make it easier for the plant to stay healthy and ensure it does not need to be maintained regularly. This is a simple change that can go a long way when caring for this type of plant.

Care Level: Moderate

This is a lightweight plant that is appreciated for its low-maintenance setup. It is common to not water it often during the winter months as it will do well even when it is watered once in a while. During the summer, it's best to water it here and there to make sure it does continue to stay healthy. This is what keeps it a good plant to have indoors.
