Habitat: 60 - 80°F

The ideal room temperatures for this plant range from 60 – 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The plant does well in USDA hardiness zones 9 to 11. The pant should be potted in a well-draining soil. Lastly, this plant likes a humid environment, and will normally do well in a regular home environment. However, if your home’s humidity is relatively lower, consider placing a humidifier close to the plant; or place the plant in a naturally humid space like the kitchen, laundry room or bathroom.

Maximum Size: 4 - 40'

The maximum size of this plant is mainly dependent on where it is grown. It is a vine and will continue to grow depending on how well its cared for. In some cases, the length of the plant will reach double digits when grown indoors if not maintained well. When in its natural setting, this climbing and vining plant will grow to as tall or long as it can – anywhere between 4 and 40 feet.

Space / Planter Size: Small/Medium

You will need enough space for about 4 to 8 feet of growth. In most cases a small 8 inch planter will be enough for this plant. You can re-pot the plant into a bigger planter if the roots grow too deep and end up blocking the planter’s drainage holes. Be sure to place the plant at the right spot for healthy growth.

This plant is native to the Island of Cebu in the Philippines. This plant is mostly found in the native perennial vines of the island. Cebu Blue Pothos can also be found in other parts of the world, including a variety of countries in Asia and some parts of Europe and the Northern section of Australia.

Plant Care

Growing this plant is easy. The plant has two stages of growth – juvenile and mature. While the mature stage is mainly seen in plants that are grown outdoors, the juvenile stage is the one that is most recognizable – characterized by small but elongated oval leaves with a silvery blue-green color.

Water: Moderate

It is recommended that you leave the top 1 – 2 inches of soil to dry before you water the plant thoroughly; allowing any excess water to drain from the bottom of the pot. While these plants flourish with regular watering, they can handle extended periods between watering.

Sun: Bright, Indirect

You will need to put the plant in medium to bright indirect light for it to grow healthily. The plant does not flourish in low light. Furthermore, direct sunlight will easily burn the leaves.

Care Level: Easy

This plant has minimal maintenance requirements. You simply need to make sure that it has access to the right amount of water and light. Any fertilizing only needs to be done in the growing season, around twice a month.
