Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Environment

Habitat: Moderate To High Humidity / 60 - 80°F

This is a plant does well in average household humidity but can tolerate higher humidity. Direct morning sunlight is fine, but avoid direct mid-day sun. This plant does not tolerate very low light.

Maximum Size: 6'

This plant is dependent on the size of its container. The average height is between 3' and 6', but it can get much bigger if given enough space.

Space / Planter Size: Medium / Large

The plant requires enough space to reach least 5'-6' tall. The planter should be about 1/3 bigger than the root ball.

History

Ficus Burgundy Rubber Tree is an ornamental originally from the rainforests of Southeast Asia. It is a fast-growing evergreen that has been the main source of rubber production in the past. Outdoor is can reach 90' or more. Ficus sap is still use in the production of rubber.

Plant Care

The Ficus Burgundy Rubber Tree likes bright, indirect light. Water when the first 1" to 2" of soil is dry. This plant is sensitive to being move. Sudden changes can cause leaves to drop. If you have to relocate do so gradually.

Water: Moderate

This plant does not like to be over watered. The best time to water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is completely dry. You will need to water less often in the winter.

Sun: Bright, Indirect

Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal. The Ficus Burgundy Rubber Tree does not tolerate direct sunlight. Too much sun will burn the leaves.

Care Level: Moderate

This plant can be a little fussy to care for because it can easily get too much sun exposure and too much water. It should grow trouble free as long as you provide the right balance of water and light.
