Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Environment

Habitat: Moderate To High Humidity / Above 55°F

This is a plant that is going to require a decent amount of humidity and the temperature has to remain above 55 degrees. As long as you do this and there is enough indirect sunlight, the plant will have the variables needed to grow.

Maximum Size: 5 - 6'

This will depend on where the plant is set up. If it is indoors, the maximum height is going to be between 5-6'. If it is outdoors, the plant can grow double this size and it is common for the plant to reach exceptional heights in such conditions.

Space / Planter Size: Large

You will require enough space for at least 5-6' of growth. This means the planter will have to be a full-sized one and it needs to be located in the right spot to allow the plant to flourish.

History

This is a plant that is found in Southeast Asia including nations such as Indonesia and Malaysia. It has long been celebrated as a high-grade houseplant due to its style.

Plant Care

It is best to care for this plant by making sure it is in a bright space and is getting enough water when the soil is dry. You will also want to consider using specialized fertilizer to ensure the plant continues to grow and its roots remain stable.

Water: Moderate Watering

The best time to water this plant is by touching the soil to see if it's dry along the top 1-2 inches. As soon as the top of the soil is dry, it's time to pour in water. This will keep the root system as strong as it needs to be.

Sun: Bright, Indirect

You will want to put this plant in bright, indirect sunlight. This is going to help the plant grow without burning the leaves or causing them to dry quickly. If there is direct sunlight, this can do more damage than good.

Care Level: Moderate / High

It is going to be time-consuming to care for this plant but everything can be optimized when it's in the right spot. This includes having bright, indirect sunlight and complete access to water. If so, the root system will do well and it is going to continue to grow as you want it to.
