Plant Care

Caring for Philodendron Squamiferum, also known as Red Bristle Philodendron or Hairy Philodendron, involves providing suitable conditions for its growth.

Water: Moderate

Water your Philodendron Squamiferum when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Provide a thorough watering, allowing excess water to drain out. Avoid over-watering, as it can lead to root rot. During winter or in lower light conditions, reduce the frequency of watering.

Sun: Bright, Indirect

Philodendron Squamiferum prefers bright, indirect light. Place it in a location with filtered sunlight or near a north or east-facing window. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but its growth may slow down.

Care Level: Moderate

Philodendron Squamiferum is considered a moderately easy plant to care for. While it may require a bit more attention compared to some other Philodendron species, it is still suitable for both beginner and experienced indoor gardeners.
