The Syngonium Macrophyllum Frosted Heart is known for its frosty white variegation and big leathery leaves. The leaves are pretty big. You have no option but to notice them. The veins of the leaves are green most of the time, and they have a concentration of white variegation around the veins. Almost every crevice of the leaf has a little tinge of white.

Who needs it?  If you live in an area that experiences winter temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to purchase winter shipping insurance.  For only $10.00, your plant will be shipped with a heat pack and bubble wrap for insulation to ensure it arrives to you free of any damage from the cold or we will refund your money back! 

You will receive a notification of shipping and will need to ensure that the plant is welcomed into your home the date of arrival.  If you will be traveling, please contact us to reschedule the shipment date at least 24 hours prior to shipping.  You do not want to leave your lovely new friend out in the cold. The heat pack that is provided with the insurance is good for 72 hours from the time shipped so we are confident that your plant will arrive safe and warm.

If you are purchasing multiple plants, you may need to purchase insurance for each plant if the plants are being shipped separately.  Feel free to reach out to us at support@plantasticdirect.com and we will confirm the amount required for your order.

Refund Policy for all Plants

If your plant arrives damaged, simply take a photo and send it to support@plantasticdirect.com within 3 days after the delivery date.

We will make a determination and will refund the amount purchased if you have a valid concern.  We will notify you via email, within 48 hours after we have received your email with the photos supporting your claim and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. The refund will ALWAYS be back to the card used for the original purchase, no exceptions. 

The refund amount will post in accordance with your cards policy, usually within 3 to 5 business days. 

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct as necessary. All claims must be made within 3 days after the delivery date.
Exchanges
We do not do exchanges on plants.
Replacements
We do not replace plants.  We will issue a refund if appropriate. (see above), and you may place another order if desired.

Environment

Habitat: Medium Humidity / 60 - 85°F

The plant requires to grow in a place with moderate to higher humidity. If you don't live in an area with generally high moisture, you can use humidifiers to mist the leaves. You can also plant them in a tray of watered pebbles. The plant also requires bright indirect light but can accommodate lower to medium light.

Maximum Size: Up to 18" plus

This plant comes in variable sizes 4", 6" and hanging baskets. 

Space / Planter Size: Small

Syngonium is an ornamental plant that proliferates. You can grow it in small to medium pots and trellises. You, therefore, do not need to worry about the space. Its height dictates the planter size. As long as you understand that it has the potential to grow over 18" long, you should find a pot that can accommodate it.

History

The plant is generally classified as part of the Araceae family and is native to tropical rain forests, including the West Indies, South America, Southern Mexico, and Central America.

Plant Care

If you want the plant to flourish, you must expose it to enough lighting. Considering it is a bit flexible when it comes to lighting, you can constantly adjust from low to medium or bright indirect light. You must also understand that the plant cannot thrive without enough water; otherwise, it will wilt. Also, ensure that you use well-draining soil.

Water: Water When Dry

Since the plant cannot survive without water, you need to closely monitor it to ensure there is no time the soil is dry. However, note that the plant is happy with regular humidity and not excessive moisture.

Sun: Moderate

Due to the flexibility of the plant, adjust your lighting every once in a while. If you expose it to direct sun, ensure you do a bit of morning sun and less light in the afternoon.

Care Level: Easy
